Ever since I can remember, baking has been one of my biggest hobbies. From my prized easy bake oven days to my adult life - I was always assigned dessert to bring to gatherings. When I moved out of my parents', I begged for a kitchen-aid mixer as my Christmas present (which turned out to be a pink one!). It's pretty much the highlight of my kitchen.

Guiltily, my beer palette was not so refined comparatively. Within the past two years or so, I've become more exploratory with what Chicago has to offer across the beer scene. From stouts to sours and IPAs, my backyard is home to some of the largest key players within the craft beer industry. I'm no connoisseur - but I do love a great beer after work and exploring regularly what my hometown has to offer. 

I decide to combine both of my hobbies into one, exploring how to firstly pair beers with whatever I make , but additionally to add them into cakes/cookies/breads/etc. You can expect to find more than your chocolate/stout combo here - and substitutions for the pastry only lovers.  I'm excited to share this journey with all of you!
